Traditional Korean Martial Arts in Eastbourne
The Martial Arts Centre in Eastbourne is dedicated to teaching United Mirae Kuk Sool, a comprehensive traditional Korean martial arts system. Since our establishment in 1992, we have focused on developing confidence, self-control, self-defence skills, and overall fitness in our students. We welcome individuals from age 2 to adults of all fitness levels and capabilities. Our classes offer a fun, engaging, and supportive environment for martial arts training. What do we teach?
We teach the comprehensive style of United Mirae Kuk Sool, a traditional Korean martial arts system. Our classes cover a wide range of training, including kicking and striking techniques, traditional weapons, moving forms, escape and control techniques, body conditioning, flexibility, and Korean Archery.
New for 2026, we are also introducing Judo classes, further expanding our curriculum. This well-rounded approach develops strength, skill, discipline, and confidence for students of all levels.
Our Instructors
Peter
Lassman
2nd Degree Head Instructor and School Owner
KSN Peter Lassman is the Head Instructor at the school and a highly experienced martial artist. He discovered Kuk Sool in 2013 and has achieved three Grand Champion titles in Kuk Sool. He has a background in Kung Fu and more recently, Peter earned his Black Belt in Judo and now also instructs Judo classes, further expanding the school’s curriculum. In addition to his martial arts expertise, he is a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer, supporting students in developing strength, fitness, and confidence both on and off the mat.
Franziska
Lassman
2nd Degree Instructor and School Owner
KSN Franziska has a strong martial arts background in Kung Fu and Tai Chi and discovered Kuk Sool in 2014. As the school’s General Manager and Safeguarding Officer, she is the first point of contact for students and parents. Dedicated to all aspects of Kuk Sool, she also leads and runs our pre-school programme. Recently, she completed her degree in Acupuncture, bringing an added depth to her martial arts teaching through a deep understanding of how the body works. In addition, she is a qualified Level 3 Yoga Instructor, supporting students with balance, flexibility, and overall wellbeing.
Megan Morgan
2nd Degree Instructor
Having started Kuk Sool training at the age of 6, KSN Megan has grown up within the art, developing strong technical skill and deep understanding over many years of dedication. Sha has achieved a Grand Champion title as a 2nd degree black belt through competition success and is now proudly joining the adult instructor team this year, bringing enthusiasm, experience, and a lifelong passion for Kuk Sool to her teaching.
Emily
Alanova
3rd Degree Instructor
PSBN Emily started learning Kuk Sool in 1994, took a bit of time out to raise her family, and returned in 2009. She received her 1st-degree Black Belt in 2013, her 2nd-degree Black Belt in 2019, and her 3rd-degree Black Belt in 2023. Emily is a vital part of the instructor team and assists in all classes.
Oliwer
1st Degree Junior Instructor
JKN Oliwier is a 1st Degree Black Belt who began his Kuk Sool journey in 2018. He is a highly talented martial artist, who regularly assists with teaching in classes. His dedication and skill have led to competition success winning gold medals.
